To celebrate the start of life getting back to normal after a year-long fight against the global Covid-19 pandemic, we return with our Guest Mix series for 2021.
We are very excited to bring you the very first mix in this new series – ripe and ready for Good Friday!
It’s been a while since we could get together with some friends outdoors, so here we are with the perfect soundtrack for you courtesy of our favourite Irish disco stalwarts, Get Down Edits.
Hailing from Waterford, Get Down Edits are a DJ duo featuring Darren ‘Daz’ Dalton & Martin Roche.
Individually, they both have extensive DJ experience, however as we have witnessed on many occasions – when they combine, the magic really happens.
Daz and Martin started DJing during the house boom of the 1990’s and have continued regularly throughout the years. Gradually, they have progressed from playing local club nights in Waterford, to hitting the decks every weekend at parties further afield in Cork, Galway, Dublin and Belfast.
A natural progression from club events saw the duo bursting on to the festival scene in Ireland – to include appearances on stage at
Indiependance
Body & Soul
Gateways
Electric Picnic
Sea Sessions
Things soon started warming up for the duo, as their name was propelled onto an array of line-ups for international events, including
Suncebeat Festival in Croatia,
Glitterbox
Glastonbury
Liverpool Disco Festival
Brighton Pride
Get Down Edits showcase not only an immense range of DJ talent behind the decks, but also in terms of original production and remixes – their work becoming well-renowned and taking them across the globe to focus on creative projects.
They have travelled extensively between major cities and house music hot-spots to include London, Liverpool, Leeds, Hamburg, Paris, Tel Aviv, Budapest, Brussels, Dubai….even a tour of Mexico.
This year, the lads are crossing everything in hope that travel restriction allow them to play at the coveted Southport Weekender Festival at London’s Morden Park in September. This will see them perform alongside some heavyweight international artists including Arrested Development, David Morales, Derrick Carter and many more.

The soundtrack here is Strictly Disco – with a few groovy surprises thrown in.
Here, we have over three hours of POWER tracks to get you moving this Easter weekend.
Enjoy.
Much Love,
Glitterballs and Get Down Edits
